So, I started this diet a few weeks ago and not lost anything yet... Well, apart from half a lb.
It's not the diet's fault though. It's mine! I keep going out and partying. I may be having a diet coke but that Bacardi is one fattening little mofo. However, now that the bank hols are out the way I'm hoping that I can get back on track.
I am a huge fan of this diet as I had a fry-up for breakfast this morning. How many diets let you do that, eh? All I had to do was use the fry-light spray as my oil and cut the fat off my bacon. Lovely stuff.
My next weigh-in is next Wednesday so I'm hoping to have lost something by then. No naughty weekends to hold me back now!
I'd definitely recommend it though. You can eat lots of foods, classing naughty foods as part of your syns allowance; there is a website that gives you hundreds of recipe ideas; recipe books available; and there is a Facebook group that introduces you to people in the same situation who offer support and inspiration.
Let's just say I'm not as hungry as I was when I was on Weight Watchers...

Hayfever
Ahh, it's that time of year again when my nose gets crusty, my eyes start to itch and everything including my throat and ears get annoyingly itchy.
Happy days! My good friend hayfever has returned...
So, what shall I do for the next three months?
I usually stick to the following:
1. Try and keep the windows and doors shut - especially my bedroom window. Do NOT open it under any circumstance! I know it's horrible and gets stuffy when it's warm, but to combat that little problem I invested in a tall oscillating fan. One of the best purchases I ever made.
2. Wear those big square sunglasses. Not only do they stop the pollen getting to your eyes, they also make you look cool. Obviously don't wear them indoors as you will indeed end up looking like a loser.
3. Avoid going outside.
4. If your eyes do get itchy, please try and avoid rubbing them. I know from experience how tough that is to do but, one year, I got red patches on the whites of my eyes, and I have also developed conjunctivitis on several occasions. Salt water is apparently the key to cleaning the pollen out. I have tried this every year and even if it doesn't actually work, the warm water is very soothing.
Now, I'm going to let you into my secret - I am going to tell you about a very powerful weapon that will help with the hayfever symptoms...
Benadryl
The best one, I find, is the 4 capsules a day one, rather than the one a day. It's so fast acting and all of the symptoms seem to disappear for a few hours. I genuinely recommend this product above any of the others. Believe me, I've tried them all!
I would recommend buying them online though as they can be quite expensive in the shops. If you do do this, however, please - and that is a big please - make sure the site you are buying them from is a legit pharmacy! Look for the green cross
+
WARNING: One final thing... If you do use Benadryl, please be very VERY careful when drinking alcohol. They are very strong and it has been known for people to become drunk, not tipsy, after half a pint of beer. Great for a cheap night, but very dangerous on a mad night out.
Take care and Good Loula Luck xxx

Online Bingo
What an interesting afternoon. My bro got home from work and showed me the Mecca Bingo app on his phone. It looked tremendous fun and it was great to see him win a couple of times.
However, it was even more interesting to find out that he'd won a total of £45. Great stuff...well, it would have been if it hadn't taken £35 to get it.
I decided to join up though as they give you £5 free. Needless to say, I didn't win. I'm apprehensive about depositing any money into my account as I observed someone win twice when my brother was playing, and twice when I was playing. That was over the space of 3 hours.
It begs the question as to whether this person won because 1. He was playing it for so long, 2. He had to buy a bunch of tickets for one game (the max is 36), or 3. It's automated and the people playing Bingo are indeed losing to the computer rather than real people.
The jury is still out with this one and I'm still contemplating whether or not to deposit £5.
I was never going to win on the free £5 that I was given, so I guess there is just one way to find out...

Followers
As I'm new to this, I am a little unsure of where I can gain a following. I've figured out where I can view the trafficking of the site but, as yet, I have no followers... *boohoo*sniff-sniff*
I look forward to seeing my first follower on here - you will be very welcomed and I will give you a virtual round of applause!
